The Q4 e-tron Sportback has a standard Secondary Collision Brake Assist, which automatically applies the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The GV60 doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

To provide maximum traction and stability on all roads, All-Wheel Drive is standard on the Q4 e-tron Sportback. But it costs extra on the GV60.

Both the Q4 e-tron Sportback and the GV60 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front and rear side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and available around view monitors.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration does 35 MPH front crash tests on new vehicles. In this test, results indicate that the Audi Q4 e-tron Sportback is safer than the Genesis GV60:

Side impacts caused 23% of all road fatalities in 2018, down from 29% in 2003, when the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety introduced its side barrier test. In order to continue improving vehicle safety, the IIHS has started using a more severe side impact test: 37 MPH (up from 31 MPH), with a 4180-pound barrier (up from 3300 pounds). There are over 41 percent more Audi dealers than there are Genesis dealers, which makes it easier should you ever need service under the Q4 e-tron Sportback’s warranty.

From surveys of all its subscribers, Consumer Reports’ March 2025 Auto Issue reports that Audi vehicles are more reliable than Genesis vehicles. Consumer Reports ranks Audi 7 places higher in reliability than Genesis.

The Q4 e-tron Sportback’s electric motors produces 110 more horsepower (335 vs. 225) and 278 lbs.-ft. more torque (536 vs. 258) than the GV60’s standard electric motor. The Q4 e-tron Sportback’s electric motors produces 21 more horsepower (335 vs. 314) and 90 lbs.-ft. more torque (536 vs. 446) than the GV60 Standard AWD/Advanced’s standard electric motors. The Q4 e-tron Sportback’s electric motors produces 90 lbs.-ft. more torque (536 vs. 446) than the GV60 Performance’s standard electric motors.

On the EPA test cycle the Q4 e-tron Sportback gets better mileage than the GV60:

The Q4 e-tron Sportback can travel longer on a full charge than the GV60 Performance (258 miles vs. 252 miles).

For better traction and acceleration, the Q4 e-tron Sportback has larger rear tires than the GV60 (255/45R20 vs. 235/55R19).

The Q4 e-tron Sportback’s standard 235/50R20 front and 255/45R20 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 50 series front and 45 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the GV60’s standard 55 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Q4 e-tron Sportback has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the GV60.

The Q4 e-tron Sportback executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver quicker than the GV60 Performance (26.3 seconds @ .68 average G’s vs. 26.9 seconds @ .63 average G’s).

For better maneuverability, the Q4 e-tron Sportback’s turning circle is 1.5 feet tighter than the GV60’s (37.7 feet vs. 39.2 feet).

The Q4 e-tron Sportback has a much larger cargo volume than the GV60 with its rear seat up (26.1 vs. 24 cubic feet).

The Q4 e-tron Sportback’s standard towing capacity is much higher than the GV60’s (2650 vs. 2000 pounds).

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the Q4 e-tron Sportback to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The GV60 doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Q4 e-tron Sportback Premium Plus offers available headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The GV60 doesn’t offer headlight washers.

The Q4 e-tron Sportback has a standard heated steering wheel to take the chill out of steering on extremely cold winter days before the vehicle heater warms up. A heated steering wheel is only available on the GV60 ADVANCED/PERFORMANCE.
